Welcome! My name is Steve Sullivan, and I am the man behind Concept.

What do I do?

I design and fabricate bespoke furniture and household fittings from stainless steel and exotic metals.

All my furniture is handcrafted and unique, and adds a contemporary, modern and artistic touch to any part of any home.

My handcrafted bespoke metal furniture is produced from exotic metals, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, glass, wood and marble fittings.

My projects

Union Jack coffee table – This was my first main project. It is hand-made made out of Stainless Steel, with a reinforced glass top. I am particularly proud of the satin finish on the steel, and the way the finish catches the light to contrast with the dark features of the table. This item is available for viewing and purchase.

Hanging Unit for a Walk in Wardrobe – this simple yet effective design has fully optimized the available space. It has two levels for hanging, a small section for long coats and two runs for boxes or shoes. It is sturdily designed, fixed to the wall in six places, and has so been put through its paces and performed flawlessly! Sold

Dining table (seats six people) – This is my latest design, I have combined the character of a 100+ year old oak beam, with stainless steel.

The stainless has been manipulated to give a curved feature that gives it a striking look and unique feel. Pictures do not do this justice;

My name is Steve Sullivan, and I am an Engineer from Poole, Dorset (UK). I have / am:

1. Skilled with exotic metals, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium to then combine glass, wood and marble fittings

2. Fifteen years experience in metal welding and fabrication engineering

3. Worked in industries such as defense, marine, nuclear, food and chemical

Concept started out as a personal hobby, but over time it has evolved into a small business. I only make a small amount of items each year, and I offer all clients a personal and friendly service to help them achieve the design that they desire.
